Sirloin Steak
When I started cooking I realized the butcher was a great source of information on meat. I would often go in asking for different cuts and suggestions on how to cook each one. With enough time, I recognized that they always gave good advice. Now, I go in asking for simply Steaks or Roasts. Today, The butcher said he had Sirloin available. I always request one inch cuts as preference.
Ingredients
- 4 sirloin steaks
- Olive oil
- Salt
Directions
1 Do not trim fat. Preheat the grill to medium-high, lightly oil to prevent grill sticking. Salt generously.
2 Length of time grilling depends on the thickness of the steak that you purchase, as well as how you prefer your steak cook. most grocery stores sell steaks at around 1/2" thick, but if you get it at a butchershop you can usually choose the thickness. we prefer our steaks 1" thick and cooked medium rare. To aquire our perfect steak, we cook it for about x minutes on each side.
